This online First Aid course takes around 60 minutes to complete.  You can skip content if you feel confident in certain areas.  But to receive your final certificate you need to pass the final quiz.

The certificate is emailed to all learners when they achieve over 80% in the final quiz.  The course is accredited by the CPD group which is reflected on the certificate.  There is also a validation code to verify completion.  The certificate remains valid for 3 years.

Safety means protecting people from injury and making sure people return home to their families at night.   

We must do our best to protect people in the workplace because ill health is responsible for more deaths each year than accidents are.   

The environmental aspect of this course looks at our obligation to protect the environment from pollution and waste, while at the same time preventing disturbances such as noise and dust, for example.  

Morally, legally and financially everybody has a duty to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves, their colleagues and the environment.  

Morally you are obliged to protect people at work from injury and ill health. This includes you. We expect our employees to ensure the safety of the public and client staff as well.

Protecting the environment for future generations would also be classed as morally important.

This means avoiding waste and pollution and protecting our wildlife.  

There can be serious financial implications if a person or company does not operate safely and with health and the environment in mind.

If someone is injured on site then there are increased insurance costs, lost time due to injury or illness, and lost production time. There is also the possibility of court costs, fines and compensation.

One of the most damaging implications is the damage done to the company’s image.  Legally the company has to ensure compliance with national, European and global legislation and standards. It is in the best interest of the individuals and company to conduct themselves in a safe manner and prevent prosecution.
